No Mow May - identifying pollinators

During No Mow May we identified the pollinators our little front garden supports. Taking pictures of those fluffy bottoms proved to be difficult and identifying them was not easy either but we did our best.

We think we saw tree bumblebees, red-tailed bumblebees and perhaps a tawny mining bee. There were also one or two honeybees present when we looked.

We also saw tiny flying insects that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. These small pollinators that go for the tiny flowers that normally get cut by the lawnmower were lovely to witness.

Our garden is always buzzing with life, which we are so happy about!
