Charity Week at Solihull Prep

Solihull Prep School held our annual Charity Week recently to raise money for an Eco brick project to build an Early Childhood Development Centre and for Chimp Eden Sanctuary.

Our launch assembly involved live Teams links with Gary, Zama and Diane from Jane Goodall Institute South Africa. Activities included collecting change and arranging them on a giant chimpanzee, ‘Break the Rules Day’ where children dyed their hair, drank squash, painted their nails, brought a teddy to school, a keenly supported staff dodgeball match, successful book and conker sales, an extremely popular giant tuck shop for the Prep and Senior School pupils, a fun run wearing silly hats, a movie and popcorn afternoon and a ‘Wear your Wellies Day’.

Pupils were encouraged to do chores at home to earn money to spend during the week. All pupils and staff had a great week, partaking in activities enthusiastically whilst raising as much money as possible for both causes!
