East Coast College Lowestoft Foundation Green Enterprise

Students in Foundation at East Coast College Lowestoft will be running an enterprise project that benefits people, the environment and animals. A market stall will be set up in the college every Tuesday so that staff and students will be encouraged to buy and eat more fresh fruit and vegetables. The produce will be delivered to the college from a wholesalers meaning that only one journey will be made instead of many journeys to supermarkets thus reducing carbon emissions. Some of the profits will be used to adopt a primate at either Monkey World in Dorset or to the Dao Tien Rescue Centre in Thailand. learners will also be taught about conservation at Africa Alive in Suffolk.
