Two children represented Damers Eco Crew at the Ideas2Action Recycling Awards at Poole Civic Centre on Friday 28th September. The children spoke in front of over 100 people about the recycling work the school has achieved in the past year. This included setting up Refill Poundbury, recycling printing cartridges, writing instruments, biscuit/cracker wrappers and their national award winning Young Enterprise product, Waxtastic No Plastic, an alternative to cling film. The children got a standing ovation led by the Mayor of Poole. The children won the recycling award in the schools/college category.  The children received a unique trophy made from bottle tops and CDs.
