Where is Jane?

Or as we are calling it in 2020 – ‘What’s Jane been up to?’ And the answer is – a whole lot!

Dr Jane has traded her normal 300 days of travel schedule for 18 hour working days and a new on-line timetable  –  from writing a new book to virtual Awards, lectures, auctions, meetings and ceremonies; signing books, cards & writing letters.Here are just some of the highlights since March

• 20^th March – ‘A message of Hope’
• 25^th March – the New York Times interview
• 30^th March – the One Green Planet interview
• On the 3^rd April Dr Jane celebrated her 86^th Birthday
• 6^th April - United Nations International Day of Conscience
• 16^th April – announced as part of the ‘Climate Rebels’ by Ben Lerwill
• On Earth Day, 22^nd April we celebrate the Premier of ‘Jane Goodall: The Hope’ film, DVD now available to purchase on Amazon UK
• 22^nd April – at the ‘Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’
• 6^th May – ‘Ten messages of Hope in dark times’
• 8^th May – on CNN Live
• 11^th May – The Hong Kong Tatler interview
• 20^th May – gave a TED talk
• 20^th May – SES 2020 OSCARS OF EXPLORATION
• 22^nd May – social distancing, but not from Bean
• 2^nd June – BBC 4 Radio – ‘The Life Scientific’
• 4^th June – Vogue UK interview
• 5^th June – celebrated World Environment Day
• 5^th June – The Independent interview
• 6^th June - Literary Conversations across Borders: 'Sustainability – Have we pulled back from the brink?
• 10^th June – chatted with AimHi
• 17^th June – 2020 Tang Prize Laureate Announcement
• 22^nd June – World Forest Day

• 4^th July – Dr Jane gave the Keynote speech at the PRIS’20
• 10^th July – the Wall Street Journal interview
• On the 14^th July, we celebrated 60 years of the start of Dr Jane’s Gombe research with celebrations all over the World
• 14^th July – celebrated World Chimpanzee Day
• 14^th July – honoured by the UNESCO
• 14^th – we celebrated with the MUTTS
• 14^th July – the PEOPLE interview
• 16^th July – Dr Jane monkeyed around with Bill Bailey
• 22^nd July – Dr Jane talked to Rev’d Lucy Winkett
• 4^th August - Jane narrated a Beautiful Animated Poem About Saving Earth
• 10^th August – ‘The good stuff with Deborah James’ podcast
• 13^th August – the Ananke interview
• 21^st August – took part in the 2020 virtual Birdfair
• 4^th September – took part at the ‘Planet A – talks on Climate Change’ podcast
• 12^th September – Dr Jane took part in the 12^th #G7 Speakers meeting
• 21^st September – celebrated Peace Day 2020
• 23^rd September – Dr Jane ‘spoke up’ about the need to respect nature
• 8^th October – celebrated Clean Air Day
• 14^th October – the Vogue Interview
• 22^nd October – Dr Jane took part in the Wildscreen Festival
• 28^th October – a special live reading of the book ‘Lion Family’
• 30^th October – Dr Jane received an award from Greenpeace Spain
• 4^th November – Dr Jane travelled to Poole to launch the Local Safari resource to 20, 000 schools across the UK
• 7^th November - Roots & Shoots European Meeting - Dr Jane was a special guest and Damers First School proudly presented their Roots & Shoots activities
• 9^th November – Dr Jane was awarded the Stephen Hawking Fellowship
• 19^th November - Dr Jane was a virtual guest of the St George’s House and had a fascinating conversation with Gary McKeone (send to Darren)
• 20^th November - Dr Jane ‘opened up’ our first European Auction. All of the proceeds are going towards JGi’s African projects (send to Darren)
