The King's CE School Eco Week
At the King's CE School our KS3 pupils have been busy helping plan an and carrying out our first eco week. This week involved encouraging teachers to link their lessons to one of our 3 main areas from our action plan in which the pupils have created. The aim of our week was to educate other members of ks3 as to why these areas were picked and what the pupils would like to do to help improve our school. The week consisted our one day which was off timetable for ks3, where guest speakers were invited to take part in our online lessons, which included people from Chester zoo, Haydock Hedgehog Helpers, Severn Trent water company, A Rocha, University of Newcastle and Wildside activity centre. Our eco team set challenges for pupils to complete at home related to the guest speakers, challenges included making hedgehog houses, making bird feeders and researching tasks. The pupils sent out questionnaires before and after the event to see how others opinions changed due to the day.Follow us on Twitter
