Testing the water @ St Luke's Pond

So this morning we went to the St Luke's school pond to test the water quality, cut back the brambles that had grown around the pond and plant some new plants. We found some happy newts, a frog, pond skaters, and some backswimmers. The water quality is quite good and we may be able to add some sticklebacks to the large pond soon. The children had also been busy making some fantastic bug hotels and signage!
