PoP

Walhampton School's ‘People of Power' is an awesome group of activists that want to challenge racism and make a difference through education and action!

Recently in our PoP group, we came up with the idea of introducing more authors of colour into our school Library. In order to help us reach our goal, one of the parents very kindly donated us some money, so we spent time researching and looking for books of all ages written by authors of colour. After we’d chosen the books, we created ‘PoP recommended’ stickers that we stuck on the front of all our new books. These stickers will help other pupils around the school to recognise the actions we are taking at PoP - It Matters.
