Our young member, Amelia Litherland, is awarded the prestigious Diana Award

Amelia’s unwavering passion and commitment for social and environmental justice have seen her grow from school eco-rep to founder of the successful non-profit social enterprise ‘Supporting the Streets’, which fundraises for the homeless. Amelia brings her deeply caring nature to enable positive action on projects both large and small. Whether she is coordinating student helpers for the Northwest eco-school’s sustainability conferences, raising awareness about waste by partaking in the ‘Trashion Show’, or coordinating over 200 clothing bags for distribution, Amelia has inspired her fellow students at Accrington St Christopher’s Church of England and those around her to be more engaged with both the environment and their communities. We were proud to nominate Amelia for The Diana Award and are delighted that her hard work, commitment and compassion were recognised by The Diana Award judges and that her name is now on the Roll of Honour 2021!Well done Amelia!
