Oceans and Countryside - Damers First School

Year 1 children have been learning about the importance of our oceans and the countryside. They learned the affacts on marine animals from single use plastic, oil, litter, cargo falling into the sea from ships. They also learned about the animals that lived in the countryside and how we shouldnt cut the grass or hedgerows.Children have been inspired and have been out and about most weekends littering the sheets where they live as well as the school grounds. Mr Moore gave each child in his class a litter picker to carry on their inspiring  work in the community.
