National Honey Show Success!!

The Ysgol Clywedog Bee Team have returned from the National Honey Show buzzing with success.

The team scored:

Highly Commended for their jars of Clear Honey. Whilst Lilly Blackwell (Year 11) picked up two Second Place  Awards for her poetry and art relating to bees.

These were tremendous successes for our first time on a national stage.

12 of the team went down to London to collect the awards and attend the show. During the show the group were able to meet beekeepers from Tanzania and taste their honey. Zak even got to practice the Swahili he has been learning for his trip there in 2025.

The group managed to pick up lots of hints, tips and goodies at the event, along with a well negotiated electric centrifuge for collecting next years harvest.
