Dorset Climate Change Panel Damers First School

Ideas on how to tackle climate change and the threat to the county’s ecology were outlined at a Dorset Council inquiry event in Dorchester. Five members of Damers Eco Crew represented the school. They presented their ideas which included more electric buses, hiring electric bikes and scooters, closing towns once a month to traffic, having more electric charging points to encourage more people to purchase an electric car and fix the broken electric points too. They also suggested  allowing every school in Dorset to have a Ridan Food Waste Composter to recycle their food waste on site and then using the compost as fuel for cars.
