All tucked up!

Our 3 bee hives are now tucked up and ready for winter. In the cold weather the bees all huddle up together at the top of the hives to keep warm. If the temperature goes above 10 degrees C they use the opportunity to nip out and use the toilet!We will visit the hives each month to make sure they have enough food for the winter but will not be opening up the hives again until March. At that time, 30 pupils will be the new 'Bee Team' and will be starting to work towards their Young Beekeepers Certificate.
