On the 25th February, Dr Jane Goodall gave the 2020 DICE Lecture on "Gombe and beyond: chimpanzees, conservation and change".She talked about her life and career.  From her early love of nature to her ground-breaking research on chimpanzees in Tanzania, subsequent conservation work and the Roots & Shoots programme to empower young people to affect positive change. She was introduced by Professor Bob Smith, who also gave an overview of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) and their achievements in their 30th Anniversary Year.Dr Jane met some wonderful and inspiring young people from the Conservation Society at the University. We are delighted that they have subsequently signed up for Roots & Shoots and look forward to seeing their upcoming projects!
