Description: Students design and create an item reflective of their home country's culture, wildlife, or heritage, such as a model of a native animal or a box adorned with significant motifs. Upon completion, they write clear instructions for creating the item, which are then exchanged with their twinned school. Both schools build the item based on these instructions, photograph the result, and share the photos with each other. This activity emphasises the importance of effective communication and cultural exchange.
Steps: Design: Conceptualise and create an item that represents an aspect of your country. Document: Write detailed instructions on how to recreate the item. Exchange & Create: Swap instructions with the twinned school, create each other's items, and share the outcomes.
Objectives: To deepen understanding of one's own and the twinned school's culture, enhance communication skills, and foster international collaboration through a hands-on craft project.
