The Ruth Gorse Academy’s Living Wall

The Ruth Gorse Academy is an inner city school with big goals for sustainability.

With limited green space, the school's eco club The Green Gorse had a big task on their hands.… create a living wall that would promote biodiversity, pollination and greenery to offset the air pollution from the nearby street.

Students worked extremely hard to create this living wall - packed with evergreens for over winter that flower in summer. The club will plant seasonal flowers as we approach spring with an aim to attract lots of bees.
