Planting 90 bulbs for Dr Jane’s 90th and making bat boxes

It was wonderful to fulfil our commitment, and we truly enjoyed planting 90 bulbs in honour of Dr Jane’s 90th Birthday.

Thanks to the support from Roots & Shoots, our Eco Club successfully created some fantastic bat boxes! We purchased untreated wood, and our wonderful D&T technician helped by cutting it into kits based on a BBC wildlife bat box template. The students had a blast putting them together, and we distributed the bat homes across the community. We are very happy to let you know that we’ve already received reports of bats using them!
