Peace Day at TASIS

Each year at TASIS, students in the Lower and Middle School take part in Peace Day activities. In the Middle School, we held a Peace Dove parade with 5th Grade students holding the giant dove up as they sang the chorus ofA Song ofPeace:"

One song for all of us

One song could bring us peace

One song could make miracle

For all of us

A song of peace"

Each student in both the Lower School and Middle School made their own Peace Doves on paper to exchange with another student. It was a lot of fun to watch the interactions and the discussions that came up around the subject of peace. With a school that hosts over 60 nationalities, the theme of End Racism, Build Peace was especially important for us as an international community. 

The students thoroughly enjoyed our celebration and we do know that the theme of peace and ending racism is one for every day of the year!
