Exploring a new woodland area
The Forest School Club spent the day exploring a new area of the woodland, where a forest floor is starting to develop.
This is exciting as it is the first 'carpet' to become established in this part of the new woodland. The group spent time investigating the life of the centipede - crawling through the woodland blindfolded to understand how the centipede uses their legs to feel their way around. Leaves were then scooped and piled to make new homes for these amazing creatures; as well as creating some wonderful clay versions to sit in amongst the leaves!
