Eton College Pitches In for Environment Week
Written by: Thomas G. (Year 11), Eton College
This year, Sunday the 19th of May was the start of Environment Week at Eton College and students, faculty and staff all took part. The week began with the release of Eton’s student environmental journal, Forentina, led by Ralph M. and the opening of an exhibit of photographs entered into the Environment Week Photography Competition.
A pop-up thrift shop to encourage re-use opened on the Monday. On Tuesday, students took part in a Model COP and enjoyed an Environment Week garden party. Other gatherings included a faculty session about incorporating environment into curriculum, while students from the Environment Society and VocSoc (a careers-focused student society) put on a sustainable fashion event.
