An Introduction to Our Forest School at St. Anne's C.E. Primary School

We are extremely excited to share the awesome journey of sustainability at our school! St. Anne's C.E. Primary School has been a Forest School for a magical four whole years, and it has been an incredible experience that has enriched both our education and connection to the environment.

During this time, our dedication to eco-friendly practices has garnered recognition and numerous accolades. We are immensely proud to have received the Daily Mirror's School Garden of the Year award, as well as the prestigious Wigan School Grounds of the Year title. Furthermore, our efforts caught the attention of the media, culminating in a feature in a Sunday People article, where we had the privilege of being highlighted alongside the remarkable David Domoney!

What makes our journey even more special is that we, the students of St. Anne's C.E. Primary School, made history by becoming the youngest-ever winners of the John Muir Award, an achievement that showcases our commitment to caring for our planet. This honour reflects our hard work and the enthusiasm we bring to protecting our natural surroundings.

As we continue on this path toward sustainability, we remain thankful for the support of our teachers, families, and community members, who inspire us to strive for an eco-conscious future. Together, we are making a positive impact, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for our Forest School journey.
