Year 1 Oceans Topic Damers First School
The children have written their own fact file about octopuses using the book 'Leo and the Octopus' as inspiration.
We have had loads of fantastic home learning in with different creative ways and facts being used.
Finally a huge thank you to The Hillbrush Company Ltd. who donated a litter picker (100) to every child in Year 1 to help carry on their environmental mission. They also donated some bin hoops so the school could make their own litter picking kit for all to use.
Loads of children have been out since litter picking their streets, neighbours front gardens, beaches, countryside.
Great to have some phone calls from members of public about children being polite and asking if they can litter pick their gardens.
