Wisewood School's Bike Week 2010 - Mission Update!

October 11th-15th was our annual Bike Week at Wisewood School.  This year we planned lots of really exciting activities for everyone to get involved in.  Below is a timetable of the events that were planned and how to get involved in them.  What was even more exciting, was that they were all free! The week before Y7 & Y8 took part in activities in tutor time to remind them about the Bike Week coming up.During the week if students cycled to school, for each day they received a raffle ticket which put them into a raffle to win amongst other things, slappy bands, water bottles and some amazing Sweetskinz tyres. There were 5 students who received bike lights because they cycled at least 4 times. There were then 5 students who received free tyres and then over 25 students who received slappy bands for cycling at least once. The students really enjoyed the event and engaged a lot of students who would not have normally been interested in bikes. The feed back was excellent and now a lot more students are willing to cycle because their bikes are in better condition they know how to fix their tyres if they get a puncture.
