Sir Jonathan North Community College at the Roots & Shoots Awards 2017

Miss Hannam and Mrs Ball took three members of the Fair Trade Group to the Roots & Shoots Award on Friday at the Barbican centre in London. The students were invited along to the event to represent the Fair Trade Group as they were winners of a Gold Award for their work in raising awareness of the Fairtrade Foundation. The Fair Trade Group worked extremely hard in the lead up to the event to create beautiful display work which showed all of the different events and campaigns they had worked on this year. The students were lucky enough to meet Dr Jane Goodall and be presented with the following awards for their charity work.

It was lovely to see the students achievements and hard work recognised and refreshing to see how spirited and motivated the event has made them to continue making changes in the world and raise further awareness of different causes close to their heart.
