Regeneration of our school gardens

The regeneration started way back in August 2018 with picking apples from a tree. We had lovely apple crumble for dinner. Then the children helped to dig our raised beds and sow manure seeds so we would be ready for our new endeavour in 2019.As you can see they did an awesome job. We had meetings to decide what to grow and came up with a plan. This is our plan. Carrots, potatoes.cabbages and onions are already planted. Tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, beans and peas sowed in plugs to put in our plastic greenhouse. We are also doing a scheme with the local council, wild flowers. We have 90 pots throughout the school from nursery to year 6 and the children are growing them then in June they will be collected and planted locally. Still lots to do.
