Pen Recycling Programme

At Wainscott we do NOT throw our used pens in the bin. The children in each class (16 classes) have made boxes from recycled materials, to put any pens that are either out of ink or broken. These pens are then taken to a local centre where they are sent off to be made into pellets. These pellets are then used to make a bench for our school grounds which the children can use throughout the day.Our Eco club members are responsible for collecting the pens on a termly basis and handing them to Mrs Dell who takes them to the local centre. We are collecting data about how many KGs we are collecting termly.
