New Recycling Facilities

This year, we have introduced new recycling bins to help us to maximise the amount of waste that is recycled in school. We now have pen and paper recycling bins in every year group, and a crisp packet recycling bin in the hall. Our eco councillors are responsible for emptying the bins and have shown great initiative by helping us to count the number of crisp packets recycled each month. We have created a pictogram in the dining hall to allow us to keep track of how many packets we have recycled.Of course, it would be even better if we could avoid using disposable plastic packaging altogether. Our teachers have been talking to their classes about how to enjoy a plastic-free lunch. We will be raising the profile of this over the coming months to help us to reduce our waste!
