Loose Parts Play at Balgreen Primary School

Balgreen Primary School have been very busy collecting lots of things for our Loose Parts Play. We were very lucky to have lots of donations from our local community, such as used tyres, old fitness class equipment, old computers – it’s amazing what we have collected! It’s a great way of recycling as most of these things would have been thrown away.Our pupil council worked hard to organise everything and they set up some rules to help everyone play with everything safely. All of the staff and the children were trained in how to use Loose Parts effectively and safely as well as having lots of fun!It’s incredible what we can create with the Loose Parts, they provide an amazing opportunity for imaginative play. We’ve worked together to make space rockets, offices, road works, dens, you name it we can make it!Watch this space for more ‘Loose Parts’ updates!
