In the allotment

We have been growing lots of produce in our allotment. Before lockdown we planted our potatoes and cauliflowers, peas and sunflower seeds. Since we have returned, we have been avidly watering and weeding! Our wild flower seeds we planted have bloomed now and we have seen the bees and butterflies landing on them. We have picked potatoes, raspberries and strawberries eaten straight from the plant, French beans that the children took home to share and peas. The courgette and pumpkin are flowering and the cauliflower is looking more like a cauliflower! The apples and pears, and black and redcurrant bushes are also fruiting. We visit our allotment daily and the children love to see the changes and get excited when they can see their produce is ready to pick and share with our families.
