Hedgehog homes

On the 11th of October the members of Eco Club at Hounsdown  school made hedgehog houses to allow the hedgehogs to hibernate throughout the winter. The materials were a cardboard box, a bin bag, some bubble wrap and sticks.  First they cut out a 15cm by 15cm door on a cardboard box. Next they cut out air vents in each side of the box.  After that they put a tunnel on the door. Finally before putting the houses outside they insulated  and waterproofed them with bin bags and bubble wrap. Then the final stage was to camouflage them with sticks outside after finding a suitable place to put the hedgehog house.
