Green flag 2023

Congratulations to our Green team and school community on achieving the Eco-schools Green Flag award 2023 for the third year in a row. We are very proud of the work of our Green committee to make our school more sustainable and to raise awareness on environmental issues in our local and global community. This year our focus areas were plastic pollution, biodiversity and global citizenship. The Eco-School assessors  found "our ability and willingness to partnership impressive" and  commented on how our "strong approach to work on things is a great example of critical thinking and will produce visible impact and change",  and "is the perfect approach to fight the impacts of climate change in the future." They also said that our green team members were " fantastic ambassadors for our school and the Eco-school programme".Our Green Team  is more motivated than ever to make a change. Despite having a busy schedule with many subjects assessments and GCSE mock exams, our team is already working on exciting new projects...more to come soon...
