Enjoying Recycling and Excited to Fund Raise
Recycling
Here in Verdala International School we like to keep it busy. We have been recycling glass, metal, and plastic at the school for about 8 years now. Paper we have been recycling for about 15 years. We have the 4 colored bins in the 3 sections of the school, elementary, middle and high school. We are trying to do our bit here in Malta.
Walk for Wildlife
We very much like to be involved in fund raising activities. During the years between 2002 and 2007 the Middle School at Verdala International School participated in a WWF activity whose main objective was to raise money for endangered species. Better known as the Walk for Wildlife, the students raised over 8000 Euros during those years. This year we have chosen to raise money for the Jane Goodall Institute, since it is her 50th Anniversary of her involvement with chimpanzees. We would like to support the Roots & Shoots programme for young people and all her efforts within the Institute. We hope that this year we will raise a record amount of money for this important cause. The Walk for Wildlife will take part on Thursday 28th April.
