Eco Team at Eastbury update

We received our free baby trees from Woodland Trust and planted about 20 around the school grounds
We planted a row of silver birch as you walk in the gate. The plan is to do this every year, so we end up with a silver birch mini forest. The trees that were left over we gave out to staff and a few students (parents' permission) to take home and plant.
In preparation how to do the planting the students held a session on their global footprint and how they can make a difference.
Their next project is to reduce waste and litter in school, they have created an assembly and posters in every classroom. Here is the presentation they've prepared.
