East Coast College update

The foundation department at ECC have started to meet as a sustainability group and some great ideas in development.After Easter we are organising a beach clean and are contacting local companies to get involved. My group are making plant pots out of large hand sanitiser bottles. We’ll plant strawberries and give these to local care homes so they have fresh fruit in the summer months for a few years. We’re collecting crisp packets so they can go off for recycling and we’re going to make a greenhouse out of plastic bottles.One member of staff is contacting a school in France so we can join up with the activities. One group does some work at the local general hospital and they will investigate the health impact of plastics and the use of current PPE.
