Celebrating Dr Jane at 90!

On Thursday 14th of March, the Eco Team and Charities joined forces to honour an inspirational scientist, Dr Jane, who has dedicated her life to saving species and raising awareness of Nature Conservation. To celebrate her work, everyone was encouraged to dress up either as an ecologist or a wild animal.  During break time we had a face painting station set up in our Science building for pupils to have some wildlife-inspired face painting.  We all gathered to have a Birthday Tea in the Science department after lessons finished, with our amazing kitchen team preparing a delicious spread that included scones with strawberries and cream, chocolate eclairs, and the most enormous birthday cake. While sipping our tea, we had the chance to watch the Apple TV series "Jane," inspired by her work. The whole day was a success with our charities team raising over £500 for a hospital in Tanzania, this charity was chosen to link with Jane's work in Tanzania.  [video width="1920" height="1080" mp4="https://coherent-dev.in/school/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/My-Movie-21-2.mp4" poster="https://coherent-dev.in/school/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Screenshot-2024-03-26-at-14.30.27.png"][/video]
